GANSU - Lanzhou is the Capital city of Gansu Province. It located at northwest part of Gansu province. The city covers a total area of 13.085 square kilometers and has total a population of 2.76 million. Its annual average temperature stands at 10.3 C., with annual rainfall at 360 millimeters. Lanzhou takes the heart position of China and has a reputation of 'City of Melon and Fruit' to its semiarid temperature climate, local peach, water melon, honey dew melon and melon seeds are all well known. Lanzhou was an important town on the ancient Silk Road, and is now a key link on the present Eurasia Bridge.

Tianshui was the main stopping point on the Silk Road from Xi'an to Lanzhou. A stop here is highly recommended for the excursion to Maijishan Grottoes, Immortals' Cliff, FuXi Temple, Jade Spring Taoist Place, Curtain Cave Grottoes, Great Buddha Hill, etc. Dunhuang at the extreme western point of the Hexi Corridor, was the crossroad for the northern and southern Silk Road Routes, and today Dunhuang is a famous national cultural city of historical significance, and top tourist city of China. There are a number of interesting sights around it, such as Mogao Grottoes, Mingsha Sand Dunes, Crescent Moon Lake, Yangguan and Yumenguan passes, and modeled Shazhou Town of Song Dynasty, etc.
