GUIZHOU - Guiyang City is the capital of Guizhou Province, and located in the central of the province in the middle of the eastern slope of the Yunnan - Guizhou Plateau. It has total area of 8,084 square kilometers, it features an undulating topography, with high mountains and mesas from north to south, hills and river valleys in the middle, and an average altitude of 1,250 meters. The city has a population of 3.25 million include 1.45 million urban residents.

Land and Mineral Resources: Guiyang has a large mountainous area and a small basin area. Guiyang is classified as the sub-tropical ever-green broadleaf forest area, there are 2,400 species of wild plants, 800 species of plants under cultivation, and 200 species of wildlife. Guiyang has 19 kinds of minerals - bauxite, coal, limestone, dolomite, sandstone, clay, oil shale, and crystal and 122 mineral-bearing places including one diamond deposit. Reserves of coal are verified at 89.636 million tons, bauxite 34.795 million tons, sandstone and clay for making cement totaled 23.35 million tons, and those of marble 90.219 million tons. The city's hydropower potential is estimated at 79,730 kilowatts. 76 hydroelectric power stations with a combined generating capacity of 27,923 kw have built.

Tourism Resources and Tourism Revenue
There are the Hongfeng Lake, Baihua Lake, Jinhua Lake, Qianling Lake that are best known for their magnificent and picturesque scenes. The city's Qianling Park, the Nanjiao Park, the Forest Park that feature beautiful and exotic scenes, and tranquillity. Guizhou received a sustained tourism revenue from 100,000 overseas tourists and from hundreds million domestic visitors.

Industries and agriculture development
Guiyang continued its efforts to strengthen the farming sector as the foundation of its economy. Production of grain came to 548,000 tons, vegetables 495,000 tons, flue-cured tobacco 30,000 tons. Foodstuffs such as meat, eggs, milk and aquatic products are fairly increases recorded in production. The major manufactured goods, including raw coal, cement, cigarettes, aluminum, electricity, tires and outer tires. Guiyang currently has 61,300 enterprises, including more than 250 large-sized enterprises all are under operating business in the City.

Tsun-I City is the second industrial city in the province and its located in the north part of the province, its industries are textile, metallurgical, mechanical and oil drill, and its mass production of phosphorous fertilizer supplied for all farming used through the province.
