HENAN - Zhengzhou is Capital of Henan Province, it is located in the middle - north of the province and the east-central part of China. It is bounded on the Yellow River - Huaihe River valley plain. The city has an area total 7,447 square kilometers, and has a total population of 6.3 millions. Its annual average temperature is 14.5C.

Natural Resources and Industries: Zhengzhou is rich in natural resources: 35 kinds of minerals, 13 kinds of industrial reserves and about 300 mining areas have been verified. Zhengzhou's pillar industries are textiles, foods, tobacco, metallurgical, abrasive tools, coal and medicine; and its main industries are printing and dyeing, chemical goods for daily use, paper-making, ceramics, tanning, clothing, electronics, auto and tractors for agricultural and industrial use.

Transportation and Communications: Zhengzhou is serving as the meeting place of the Beijing - Guangzhou railway, the Long - Hai railway line and the National Highway #310 and Highway #107. The city is a hub of railways, highways, aviation and communications in north-central China.

Other cities Economic Development in the Province: Luoyang, Nanyang, Kaifeng Pingdingshan, cities are the major economic industries in the Province. Luoyang has more than 1700 town-ship enterprises. There are 400 factories have setup in the Luoyang High and New Technology Zone. Pingdingshan is lying in the central part of the province. It has proven deposits of 57 minerals, the major mineral deposits of coal, sodium, salt, iron, bauxite, gypsum, limestone, refractory clay, graphite, marble and granite. The city also known as 'Kingdom of Tobacco'. There are more than 300 foreign funded enterprises have been established in the Pingdingshan New and High-Tech Industrial Development Zone. Also abounds minerals reserves there are molybdenum, aluminum, gold, silver, tungsten, coal, iron, zinc, crystal, lead. The reserves of molybdenum ores are the largest possession in the country, one of the three largest in the world.
