NINGXIA HUI AUT. REG. - Yinchuan is the Capital city of Ningxia
Hui Autonomous Region, and is located at heart of north China, the city
is at the center of irrigated area of the Yellow River. Its urban area
is 1,277 square kilometers with 901,500 of population. Yinchuan is rich
in non-metal ore resources, of which coal, diabase, limestone, quartz
sand and others are proven. Zhongwei County 100 kilometers away from Yinchuan,
has largest reserves of gyp in China, 1.267 million tons is proven.
Industrial and Economic Development
Yinchuan is the newly industrial
developing city, its pillar industries have been developing by using
local coal, electricity, rich agricultural produce and mineral reserves,
particularly in chemical industry such as chemical fertilizer, petroleum
refining, conveyer belt, sodium, synthetic detergent, plastic products;
in food industry such as citric acid, dairy products feed, canned asparagus,
spirit.
Opening to Outside World
Yinchuan, The city is effort to construct
a promising industrial system, of obvious advantage and profitability
of scale economy. At present, there are more than 250 foreign invested
ventures in the city, of which foreign invested ventures have already
earned a substantial of amount of foreign exchange.
