ZHEJIANG - Hangzhou is Capital of Zhejiang Province, it is located in the southern side of the Yangtze River delta and in the northwestern part of Zhejiang Province in the southeast China. Hangzhou is one of the famous and a major tourist attraction and historic and cultural city. The city covers an area of 683 square kilometers and has a population of 6.1 millions. Hangzhou enjoys distinct four seasons with warm weathers. Hangzhou's mineral resources are iron, lead, zinc, copper, limestone, and bloodstone.

Beautiful and Scenic Landscapes: Hangzhou abounds in tourism resources. The city has famous scenic ports - the 'West Lake' and 'Two Rivers and One Lake Scenery'. The West Lake is surrounded by mountains in three direction only with its east against the city; hills and lakes form a beautiful contrast; "10 scenic spots of the West Lake" and the "10 new scenic spots of the West Lake" held in high repute are a dazzling pearl in the East China; the Quantangjiang River tides with momentum are a wonderful sightseeing in the world. Hangzhou average annual received 500,000 overseas tourists and more than 25 million domestic tourists.

Sustained Development of Economy: Hangzhou enjoys a good industrial foundations, with stress on the processing industry; large machinery and complete sets of equipment, automobile and spare parts, home electric appliances, fine chemicals and pharmaceutics, electronics and telecommunication equipment are the city's pillar industries. Hangzhou famous for its silks and satins with a long history, has been named the "capital of silks and satins" since ancient times. The city's light industry products are numerous and its main commodities include food, chemical goods, plastic, robber, and paper.

Economic Development Zones: The city has four state development zones - Hangzhou Economic and Technology Development Zone, Hangzhou New and High - Tech Development Zone, Xiaoshan Economic and Technological Development Zone, and Hangzhou State Tour and Vacation Zone. The four development zones and the Hangzhou International Trade Exhibition Center was opened in 1998, have made further progress in attracting oversea investments to promoting of comprehensive production achievements.
